PCT Day 3: Community Is Everything

First off, it’s SUMMIT SUNDAY! And today I am just telling you about some challenges I have summited over the the last few days.

Well first off, big shoutout to our first trail angel experience. Thank you 700, Scenic Route, Bonnie & Clyde, Stoked, Dirt, BC, and Violet. If you don’t know what a trail angel is, it is when wonderful people help current hikers out. This can be things like a ride into town, food and water, gear/supplies etc. This beautiful bunch that we got to come across had freshly cut COLD fruit, hot eggs, sodas, chips, and obviously some good vibes.

So I was extremely surprised and grateful for that. Buttttt back to Summit Sunday.. and my biggest summit was hiking 25 miles so far!!!! Ayeee listen, it may not seem like that much in the grand scheme of things (not even one percent of trail)… but I am very proud of this accomplishment.

I have blisters, bruises, scratches and more, but I’m having the time of my life. I still haven’t even processed that this is gonna be my life for the next 5ish months. We’ve made friends, enjoyed the views, and opened a deeper connection to nature. I mean what more could you ask for?

Ahh yessss pain and torture for months. My favorite.. I yearned for this moment.. jokinggggggg… Anyways, I am proud to have made it all the way to California, and I’m out here actually doing the thing, AND BLOGGING ABOUT IT. It’s been a big change so far. But I am looking forward to the next few steps of the trail and seeing who I will turn out to be tomorrow.

So that’s all for today’s entry. I’ll be writing on Motivational Monday in the next entry for Monday 4/14. Thank you so much for reading.
